Server Maintenance
We had a bit of a glitch during "normal server maintenance" yesterday when one of the DNS servers refused to reboot normally. The problem was found and fixed whilst I was in a meeting but it should not happen again :-)
I have also changed all domains to reject email for users that do not exist (i.e. miss-spelled names) because the authorities are now warning that there are spammers out there that are reverting to spamming people by the very fact that their names do not exist on our server! The server would then reply with a message saying that that user does not exist, filling the 3rd parties inbox with loads of junk! Crazy world we live in!
There is also going to be some downtime in the near future - date and time to be confirmed - but it will typically be between the hours of 11pm and 6am. The company hosting the servers has to re-shuffle them due to new servers replacing old ones and old ones being redundant... I think I may investigate moving everyone to a bigger and better server to speed things up but will have to check on migration etc before doing that...
